Hello journal lovers! We recently rolled out a new printed journal line! The first of this series is the Forest for The Trees leather journal. A beautifully rustic, primitive brown leather compliments the forest scene on the cover of this lovely journal.

In this journal series, an image is stamped onto the leather with a waterproof, fade resistant, and archival quality ink. In other words, it's not going anywhere and will stay beautiful for years to come! All journals are complete with a sewn-in ribbon bookmark to compliment the leather.
These journals will be available on the website very soon!

Each journal contains 200 hand torn pages. The paper is a hearty cardstock and gives the journal a wonderful thickness. Due to its hand torn nature, paper may be slightly uneven and jagged, causing a
wonderfully rustic and aged look.

Paper Style:
- Color: Ivory
- 67lb cardstock (32 lb cardstock when extra pages are
purchased to prevent journal bulkiness)
- Unlined PAPER (lined paper available for $5)
- 25% cotton, 30% RECYCLED, acid & lignin free (archival quality)

Vintage Keys For Some Ltd Edition Journals!

JACKPOT! I found a whole mess of vintage skeleton keys at my favorite antique store! I still don't know what I'm going to do with them...perhaps I will make some limited edition skeleton key journals :) These things are downright awesome; each has its own style and personality. Upcycling cool and unique vintage items is such a fun way to bring back the nostalgia of days gone by...
Just some of my finds :o)

So you want to start journaling, huh? Well the first step is to select a journal. The type of journal you use if a reflection of your personality, and can affect your process. Here are some journaling options:

Finding a journal...
Writing in a beautiful book from La Bella Vita inspires you to fill it with beautiful things, and have a nice keepsake to boot! Our Starry Night Journal is a whimsical and functional solution! Not into stars? Well, you can also try our Torbat Journal. It has a wonderfully rustic feel that’s sure to please even the pickiest writers.

Starry Night Journal

Torbat Journal

If you feel that writing in a beautiful journal won’t allow you to write as freely or as deeply because perfectionism takes over and you become afraid to make ‘mistakes’, not to worry! Most of our journals are refillable so you can write whatever you want and replace your pages as you go!

Pens...
Some people really enjoy the act of writing with a pen, and like to see how their handwriting reflects their moods and internal world. If you’re one of these people, you may want to invest in a really nice pen that writes smoothly and beautifully. Think about if you prefer a fine or medium tip, a ball-point or other kind of pen. You can even experiment with different colors. Very creative types even like to include pictures in their journals.

Personally I like to use very fine tipped pens (0.5 or less) when I write (I like the Pilot V5 rollerball). I also like very fine felt tipped pens. My biggest pet peeve is when a pen skips and rollerballs and felt tips tend to have a wonderful smoothness. No matter your choice, the vellum paper used in our journals is lovely because it's simple yet elegant and has a nice writing surface for all different types of writing mediums.

There are many options for creating your journal. Think about what’s important to you, and what will make you most comfortable. And most important of all, contact us if you need help picking out a journal!
Happy Writing!
